In a recent Harvard study, when asked what attribute is the most influential in regard to the success of a business, the distinguishing quality of integrity was at the top of the list. Ten years ago, Mike Deck knew that integrity would be the cornerstone of his real estate company. In an effort to build upon a foundation of integrity, the first requirement was to establish excellent rapport with clients.

“The goal of customer service is to not only help the customer have an excellent home selling/buying experience from start to finish, but to offer them an experience that exceeds their expectations,” states Mike.

  Customer care works in both directions. At least, that’s how it has worked for Mike Deck, Broker/Owner of ERA Real Estate Links and leader of Team Deck. “I have always tried to make sure my focus is on taking care of my customers, and my customers have always taken care of me.”

Mike’s company started out with only himself and one assistant. The deep-seated theme of integrity within his strategies and policies were evident to his clients and colleagues. Today, the company has over forty agents, is in the top 1% of over 3,000 ERA Offices nationwide, and is readily recognized as one of the leading real estate companies in the Indianapolis Metro area and surrounding counties.

A native and graduate of Carmel High School, Mike went on to Hanover College where he earned his bachelor’s degree.  Following graduation, Mike enjoyed a short stint working for a major corporation in Indianapolis; but, he quickly realized that he wanted to work more closely with people in his local community by helping them meet their real estate needs.  After obtaining his real estate license in January, 1992, Mike began actively building his client base in the real estate industry.  He received his Broker’s license in August of 1999, and the vision for Real Estate Links was born.  A couple of years later, Real Estate Links became a reality.

He has taken a hands–on approach in regard to serving his clients, his agents, and his business. Mike’s partnership with ERA provides his clients and agents with the latest smart software in real estate technology tools as well as a comprehensive network of professionals ready to assist clients in all situations. “In today’s “Nanosecond” culture, successful companies use technology to accomplish what was once considered impossible. Integrity, commitment, and customer service are the reasons Team Deck and ERA Real Estate Links have prospered.

Team Deck is made up of six members. In addition to Mike, there are three buyers’ agents, one land developer and one in-house licensed staff member. The vision of Team Deck is to treat each transaction “as if it were our own.” This approach to customer care is one key to why they have so many referrals and why clients keep coming back.

Amber Hawkins joined ERA Real Estate Links in August 2006. She is the Client Services Specialist and the Administrative Assistant to Mike. Licensed for over four years, Amber is responsible for all of the behind-the-scenes transaction management for Mike’s sellers and buyers.

Susan Foellinger entered the real estate business in 1997 and she joined Real Estate Links in 2005. “Buying and selling a home is a very personal and often emotional decision. With that in mind, I appreciate each client’s uniqueness, preparing for their best interests – every step along the way,” said Susan. A Hamilton County resident and an avid runner, Susan sees herself as highly detail-oriented so that her clients’ interests are well protected.

Mindy Garcia is a graduate of Florida State University; Mindy has been licensed for six years and also has her Broker’s license. She and her husband of eight years, Joe, have started their own custom home building business. According to Mindy, she “values the relationships I have gained and hope to build many more.”

Candi Hester and her husband, Jason, enjoy participating in school, church and community activities along with their three children, Grace, Will, and Ethan. Her community involvement provides her the knowledge and resources to be of great service to her real estate clients.

Mark Humphrey joined ERA Real Estate Links in May 2006 and has over 13 years of experience in the Indianapolis Building and Real Estate markets and has lived on the North side of Indianapolis for over 17 years. Mark’s role is to spearhead land development and new construction for ERA Real Estate Links and is currently working on a great custom development project in West Carmel.
